Hello. I'm Locke. I like to tell stories.

Light & Language. Two things that both change with time and also mark its' existence. These truths make them perfect vehicles for narrative, emotion, and purpose. Through sharing stories of our experiences as humans, we connect and learn from one-another. The stories and images shared here are meant to inspire, intrigue, and entice. Hopefully they inspire exploration of self and place, and a desire to move oneself through a landscape, and perhaps even work to protect it.

Locke Hassett is a photographer and writer based in the Intermountain West of the US. He specializes in narrative-driven outdoor photography, adventure/action sports and landscapes, as well as portraits and product/commercial collaborations. He primarily works in 35mm format, and much of the work on this site is light exposed on celluloid. Examples of all work, digital and analogue, as well as samples of writing, can be found in the pages of this site.
